First, A Little Inspiration…My Favorite Wedding Proposal
Rob and Keisha
A few years ago, this proposal slide show became an internet hit. It was an unforgettable proposal that left women all over the country hopeful and men all over upstaged.
Here is the background…
- Rob and Keisha dated for about 4 years. He knew that she was the one…but he had to save up for all that God had prompted him to do for
her. Rob, put his house up for rent, stayed with his sister and saved for her proposal and ring.
- He rented out 10 rooms in the Ritz Carlton in Atlanta’s Buckhead and invited about 50-60 people to be there for this special night.
- Keisha had to go from room to room and in each room were people who were special to them….his friends…her girls…her Bible Study group….his parents…her parents..etc.
- Everyone in each room had questions that she had to answer to be able to move to the next room and before she left each room the people there would pray over her….so you have to watch each room to see how that goes…
- He chose roses because Keisha’s aunt who passed suddenly loved roses and he bought some of the dipped
in gold because of the stories in the Bible about Solomon and how everything was dipped in gold and the song that you hear playing in the
background was the same song that was played at Keisha’s aunt’s funeral; she was like a second mom to Keisha.

(BTW – I am a HUGE fan of their wedding photographer, Ross Oscar Knight. His work is incredible. )
This wedding proposal was well thought, well executed and incorporated key aspects of their relationship – family, friends, prayer, God, memories of loved ones. Your relationship is unique and your proposal and wedding should reflect your love.
Now, A Little Help…Engagement Planning
As I sat in awe, I wondered how Rob pulled off such an elaborate, well thought and memorable proposal. I don’t know many guys with this level of attention to detail. Then, I learned about engagement planning…
A few weeks ago, I chatted with Nycole of Creative Celebrations and she mentioned the concept of Engagement Planning. Why didn’t I know about this? Did Rob (from above) hire an engagement planner? Of course a guy wouldn’t tell – he would take all the credit – which is so okay:) and really smart actually. Anyway, I just had to learn more about this unique service that could help others create the perfect proposal.

Budget Wedding Invitations
Now a days, everyone is looking for a deal. Well, that same thought is sought after in the wedding industry. Many brides are looking to cut costs in every area without losing elegance and personality. Though a wedding invitation is the pre-cursor of the wedding, giving the invited guests an idea for the formality of the wedding, the invitation doesn’t have to cost a pretty penny to have an elegant effect.
Lately, I have found that the bride looking to cut costs with their invitations are turning to D.I.Y. (Do It Yourself) but they soon find that the time they spend in typesetting and laying out the invitation is extensive, not to mention the cost of all the materials. Before the DIY bride realizes it, they have spent quite a bit on their DIY invitation.
There is an alternative! It’s known as a Seal n Send Invitation. This customized invitation allows the bride to include a monogram or design. It also allows for her choice of wording and ink color. The neat idea behind the Seal n Send Invitation is that the RSVP is attached to the invitation and is easily perforated for the guests to return by mail. This Seal n Send Invitation does not require an envelope, but after you have folded the invitation, you attach the included clear seal and PRESTO! – you have a wedding invitation and RSVP card ready to go! In addition, the return address is included for the RSVP and Invitation at no additional cost. By using the Seal n Send Invitation, you eliminate the cost of a seperate RSVP card and reduce the overall postage cost as well.
Creative Celebrations, Inc. provides these unique wedding invitations in a variety of colored card stock. Check out this Seal n Send Invitation from Creative Celebrations, Inc. at the link at the bottom of this page .

She has visualized how and when you will propose and no doubt hopes that you will put much thought into the proposal and not just get down on one knee and say those four life changing words. Now don’t get me wrong, she will undoubtedly be overjoyed that if you ask those four words with the “ on one knee” proposal, but the truth is that most women want to have the proposal of a lifetime. Magic Kingdom - Disney World
Recently, we had the opportunity to assist a bride-to-be, Paula, with her Cinderella & Prince Charming wedding theme.
Here is the story…
Paula was proposed to at Disney World and she wanted to have her wedding theme centered around the magical place where her fiance’ “popped the question”. When Paula came to our retail center, she told us of her magical engagement proposal and her desire to have a wedding incorporated with Cinderella and Prince Charming items.

Immediately, she found the perfect wedding invitation. It displayed an embossed carriage, castle, Cinderella and Prince Charming and of course, stardust on the front. Not only was she excited with finding the invitation, she was soon exhilerated to find that matching personalized envelope seals, personalized napkins, programs, reception cards and place cards were also available.
Now that she had found the perfect invitation ensemble, she began looking for her accessories – the garter, basket, pen, cake top etc. She mentioned that she had been searching the web for Cinderella/Prince Charming accessories; however, her search was over when we showed her the Happily Ever After Accessory Ensemble. This accessory ensemble had every aspect of her Cinderella/Prince Charming wedding theme – the pillow, cake top, candle stand, garter set, guest book, pen, flutes, basket and personalized unity candle! What made this perfect was each item had the words “And they lived happily ever after…” embroidered or engraved on the item.
What a great wedding theme to work with, and of course, we hope that Paula and her Prince Charming live happily ever after!
